Public Comment Guidelines

ASPIRA is committed to fostering community engagement and to hear from members of the community. To further this commitment we welcome public comment at each Board of Directors meeting.

Please follow the public comment guidelines outlined below (A detailed policy is at the bottom in a PDF format)

  • A person seeking to address the Board will make their request at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the meeting.
  • Requests received less than 24 hours in advance will be referred to the next regularly scheduled Board meeting.
  • Requests can be made via email at margarcia@aspirail.org or by calling (773) 252-0970

To make a request, the following information is required by email or telephone:

  1. The date of the meeting the requestor would like to speak.
  2. The name of the person requesting to make public comment.
  3. Indicate if the person making the request to speak is a parent, student, employee, or member of the community.
  4. The telephone number of the person making the request to make a public comment.
  5. A clear description of the issue the person will present to the Board of Directors
  6. Does the person need a interpreter (indicate the language)
  7. If applicable: Presentations must be submitted with the request (for example, copies of hand-outs)
