ASPIRA of Illinois – Leadership Through Education
ASPIRA of Illinois is a 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) partner with seven schools: ASPIRA Haugan Middle School, Scammon Elementary, Lozano Bilingual, Nobel Elementary, The ASPIRA Business and Finance High School, The ASPIRA Early College High School, and The Antonia Pantoja High School.
The 21st Century CCLC programming allows ASPIRA to partner with Neighborhood schools and provide innovative before and after school programming. ASPIRA has been able to provide tutoring, homework help, Drama Clubs, LEGO robotics and Stem clubs, and other great enrichment activities.
One emerging partnership through the 21st Century CCLC programming is the ASPIRA Knock out Violence program hosted in connection with former Heavyweight Champion Fres Oquendo and the Fres Oquendo Boxing Academy (FOBA). Through this partnership our students are given the opportunity to learn Boxing techniques and participate in a Mentorship program with Fres and his team.
