ComEd Bill Payment Assistance​​​​​​​
Helping Hand is the latest in a number of assistance options ComEd has developed since the pandemic to help customers, including a $18 million bill-payment assistance program announced earlier this summer (still available). ComEd has continued the suspension of service disconnections for low-income customers and those who express a financial hardship through March 31, 2021. Remember, they need to contact ComEd to notify us of their situation and learn more about the program. For other customers, it’s important that they continue to stay current to avoid higher past-due balances into the spring that will be harder to address.

Chicago Resiliency Fund
The Chicago Resiliency Fund is accepting applications by phone now! The Chicago Resiliency Fund is a cash assistance program created to support Chicago residents who were excluded from federal stimulus aid in response to COVID-19. The fund will provide $1,000 per household for eligible Chicago residents, which includes undocumented individuals, mixed-status families, dependent adults, and returning residents.

Financial Assistance from Erie Neighborhood House Community Relief Fund
The Erie Neighborhood House Community Relief Fund is providing support for needy families, particularly those with undocumented individuals, who participate in the organization’s programs.

XFinity is offering free access to all “xfinity” public wifi networks.
